Virtual Medical Assistant - Remote

Overview

MedCore Solutions, the healthcare division of Bizforce, is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Virtual Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing medical charts and document systems, with a focus on Endocrinology, particularly in thyroid cancer cases. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home, but candidates must be based in Metro Manila.

In Short

• Review and interpret medical charts for patient care documentation.
• Upload and manage referrals in the system.
• Communicate with patients via phone, email, or virtual platforms.
• Handle telehealth appointments and ensure patient preparedness.
• Educate patients on referral processes and follow-up care.
• Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs).
• Organize and manage digital records and schedules.
• Assist with tracking referral outcomes and compiling reports.
• Ensure healthcare providers have necessary virtual documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a virtual healthcare format.
• Strong understanding of endocrinology procedures and terminology.
• Proficient in managing electronic medical records and patient databases.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational habits.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
• Experience with appointment scheduling and patient management software.
• Immediate availability or availability within 2 weeks is preferred.
• Well-versed in Endocrinology practice is a MUST.
• Must have experience in NEXTGEN EHR.
• Amenable to work in a graveyard shift.
