Overview

The Social Media Community Coordinator is focused on the growth, engagement and management of Best Friends’ online Spanish community.

In Short

• Day-to-day community building and cultivation across social channels
• Content development and posting (including responding to comments)
• Collaboration to meet organizational business goals and provide meaningful engagement for animal lovers
• Works with the social media team to ensure alignment of national messaging and promotions
• Attends events (chosen by supervisor) to increase engagement on social channels
• Treats people with kindness and compassion, builds trust by demonstrating authenticity and following through on commitments
• Maintains Spanish social media editorial calendar to define optimal communications strategy on social channels
• Works collaboratively with digital, creative, marketing and corporate partners teams for optimal multichannel campaign performance
• Navigates responses and interactions with difficult/challenging supporters
• Stays abreast of current trends with social media

Requirements

• Bilingual speaker and writer, fluent in English and Spanish
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Professional experience in social media marketing and fundraising for a sizeable non-profit or for profit organization
• Knowledge of Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitch and social media best practices
• Gifted content creator with strong experience in creating all kinds of content for social media, including written, video, photography, graphics, and live content
• Strong understanding of social media KPIs and how to use data for decision making
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to solve problems creatively and collaboratively
• Self-starter with ability to operate at a hands-on detailed level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Benefits

• This position’s hiring range is anticipated to be $59,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on experience, plus great benefits!
• Interviews will start on August 13th and occur weekly until the position is filled
