Overview

The Director of Security Operations is responsible for the leadership, execution, and continuous improvement of Best Egg’s cybersecurity operations program, ensuring effective security controls and timely threat response.

• Lead end-to-end security operations including SOC and monitoring.
• Oversee SIEM and EDR programs for threat detection.
• Manage internal and third-party security operations providers.
• Act as technology incident commander for security events.
• Own the operational lifecycle of vulnerability management.
• Oversee logging and monitoring programs for visibility.
• Ensure effective response to phishing and email threats.
• Develop operational metrics and KPIs for performance reporting.
• Lead and mentor security operations personnel.
• Collaborate with technology teams to improve security controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity with SOC leadership.
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management.
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., PCI, FFIEC).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
