AVP, Underwriting - Remote

Overview

The AVP, Underwriting will apply knowledge about the risk factors that drive exposure for Miscellaneous professional liability coverage, interfacing with distribution partners and contributing to strategic discussions.

In Short

• Provide strategic oversight on application reviews.
• Direct data input processes within policy management systems.
• Lead analysis of claims data for underwriting decisions.
• Oversee claims management system utilization.
• Authorize quotations for risks within delegated authority.
• Communicate referrals for risks exceeding authority.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships.
• Guide customization of insurance coverage.
• Champion effective use of productivity tools.
• Serve as liaison for internal teams and brokers.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 8 years of experience underwriting Miscellaneous Professional liability insurance.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Understanding of complex insurance regulations.
• Familiarization with MS Office Suite.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented.

• Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000.
