Lead Full Stack Cloud Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

Bedrock is operationalizing the largest Earth-exploration mission in human history. We’re doing that by developing robotics & software to explore, map, and classify the entirety of Earth's ocean floor. The oceans are a critical component of climate stabilization. Our hope is to provide critical subsea data and infrastructure to further understand and predict the fundamental forces that support harmonious human existence on this planet.

In Short

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that stands up in production.
• Build and maintain the core systems that power Bedrock’s platform.
• Engage directly with operators and customers to understand needs.
• Take ownership of high-impact components, driving them from design through deployment.
• Strengthen team practices through architecture discussions and mentorship.

Requirements

• Experience building, scaling, and maintaining complex web applications in production.
• Developing applications across both backend (Python, TypeScript) and frontend (React).
• Collaborating with end users, designers, and engineers.
• Handling high-frequency event streams using real-time systems.
• Bonus: Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS) and map-based applications.
