Production Mechanic - Remote

Overview

The Production Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery in the Injection Molding Department, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.

In Short

• Perform maintenance and repairs on molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Install and adjust molds on machines.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Fabricate special components as needed.
• Monitor and maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Technicians.
• Adhere to safety and environmental procedures.
• Work on a night shift schedule (7pm - 7am).
• Possess knowledge of injection molding processes.
• Understand SAP and its relation to maintenance programs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2-4 years of mechanical experience in manufacturing.
• Injection Molding Training or Certification preferred.
• Understanding of hydraulic circuits.
• Computer literacy, including SAP.
• General knowledge of plastic materials and processes.
• Good vision requirements (depth perception, color vision).
• Vocational/Technical training in Industrial Maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of performing physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
