Functional Subject Matter Expert - Remote

Overview

The Functional SME will serve as the primary domain expert for the Theater Blood (TBLD) application, ensuring alignment with operational workflows and mission readiness.

In Short

• Provide input on blood management and medical logistics operations.
• Translate mission needs into functional requirements for development teams.
• Validate backlog priorities against operational workflows.
• Serve as the voice of the user in Agile ceremonies.
• Participate in testing and user acceptance events.
• Develop training materials and user documentation.
• Provide Tier 3 functional support to fielded systems.
• Assist in analyzing system performance against mission outcomes.
• Support interoperability discussions with DoD medical systems.
• Contribute to risk identification and mitigation planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in military healthcare operations.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between mission users and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of military medical workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Knowledge of DoD health IT systems.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain secret security clearance required.
