Overview

The Risk Adjustment Medical Record Retrieval team at BCBST is seeking a Medical Record Scheduling & Imaging Technician responsible for acquiring and uploading medical records and assisting with scheduling tasks.

In Short

  • Acquire and upload medical records
  • Assist with scheduling tasks
  • Load medical records into BCBST coding system
  • Schedule appointments with provider offices
  • Conduct quality assurance activities on received medical records
  • Participate in special projects as directed by management
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers
  • Utilize EMR systems for record acquisition
  • Organize and manage multiple projects
  • Communicate effectively with team members and providers

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a clinical setting (physician practice, hospital, insurance company, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Team player with strong research skills
  • Familiarity with EMR systems
  • At least one year of administrative experience in a clinical setting
