Overview

BBVA is seeking a professional to join their Finance team in Hong Kong as the Accounting Head, responsible for leading the team in regulatory reporting and other accounting matters.

In Short

• Lead the team preparing regulatory reporting and accounting matters.
• Prepare monthly book closing and reports.
• Ensure accuracy of transactions and accounts.
• Approve daily entries for the accounts department.
• Verify timely delivery of reports to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
• Manage tax reporting and calculate monthly tax provision.
• Review daily and monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Prepare year-end financial statements.
• Handle enquiries from various authorities and auditors.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in banking accounting positions.
• Deep understanding of regulatory reporting needs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Additional data management skills are valuable.
