Health Information Services Technician (Part-Time) - Remote

Overview

The Health Information Services Technician will perform teleradiology support for radiologists, coordinating incoming radiology exams and facilitating efficient review and reporting.

In Short

• Part-time position (24 hours per week)
• 80% remote work after 90 days of training
• Work hours: Friday 5pm-1:30am, Saturday/Sunday 11:30am-8:00pm
• Monitor worklists and filters within systems
• Send preliminary radiology reports via fax and PACSscan
• Answer and prioritize incoming calls
• Maintain communication on multiple platforms
• Perform clerical tasks including copying and filing
• Utilize multiple systems for patient information
• Excellent customer service and communication required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Some college preferred
• Experience in a hospital emergency or radiology department preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Strong computer/keyboard skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment
