Overview

The Developer- Skates is an integral member of the R&D team, managing development projects from briefing process to commercialization of the product, in the Skates category.

In Short

• Collaborate with other departments for manufacturing processes and QC guidelines.
• Prepare communications and updates regarding project status.
• Maintain knowledge of current technology relevant to product category.
• Serve as focal point for collaboration with team members.
• Manage the validation process throughout product development.
• Manage documentation for tax credit process.
• Track and analyze product costing.
• Support sourcing activities for new materials.
• Perform technical presentations during product camp.
• Travel to Asia for factory visits and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial design or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in product development/manufacturing/project management.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Lab testing and QC experience is a plus.
• Excellent time/project management skills.
• Knowledge of materials and their properties.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Ability to travel abroad 5-10% of the time.
