Media Relations Manager & Publicist – Energy & Infrastructure - Remote

Overview

The Media Relations Manager / Publicist will lead BaRupOn’s external media strategy and earned media visibility efforts. This role is responsible for positioning the company and its executives in top-tier business, energy, infrastructure, and investment media.

• Develop and execute media outreach strategies for corporate announcements, funding milestones, and major project launches.
• Secure earned media placements in national, international, and trade outlets across energy, infrastructure, finance, and healthcare.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and industry analysts.
• Draft press releases, executive quotes, interview briefs, and op-eds.
• Manage inbound media inquiries and coordinate executive interviews.
• Pitch story angles and thought leadership opportunities to relevant media outlets.
• Monitor media coverage, track performance metrics, and prepare internal reporting summaries.
• Collaborate with marketing and investor relations teams to ensure message alignment during capital raises.
• Support speaking engagements, award submissions, and panel opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in media relations, public affairs, or public relations (agency or in-house).
• Strong writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of earned media placements.
• Experience working with infrastructure, energy, finance, or healthcare clients.
• Established media contacts in business, energy, or investment press preferred.
• Ability to develop strategic narratives that resonate with public and institutional audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
