Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant role at Axos Bank involves managing the general ledger and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.

In Short

• Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare daily and month-end reconciliations.
• Collaborate with business units for internal management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with SOX documentation.
• Assist with financial and regulatory reporting schedules.
• Provide support for auditors as needed.
• Analyze accruals in relation to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in special projects as directed by management.
• Work with integration between accounting systems.
• Support the Accounting Management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Oracle).
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
