Senior Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be an integral member of the Container Orchestration Platform Engineering team (COP), helping the organization transform into a truly modern cloud-native mode of operation. The goal of COP team is to reduce friction in the delivery process and improve developer experience. Technical prowess, pragmatic strategic understanding, and ability to make compromises working with the stakeholders are the 3 pillars of this job.

• Embrace and evangelize automation, infrastructure as code, policy as code, and developer enablement
• Lead technical implementations leveraging the team architect
• Work independently and present results back to the COP team during Agile ceremonies
• Assist both the COP team and COP adopters with platform features and enablement
• Represent platform capabilities at delivery ceremonies
• Drive forensic troubleshooting and analysis of automation and platform consistency issues
• Ensure the highest levels of systems, resource, and infrastructure availability and performance optimization
• Evangelize cloud-native practices and methodologies to delivery teams

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in a Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud-Native Engineering, DevOps Engineering or Advocacy role
• Expertise with containers and container orchestration, particularly Kubernetes, Docker and containers
• Strong Scripting Experience with Bash, Powershell, and/or Python
• Expertise practicing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code techniques
• Expertise managing multiple code bases in Git
• Expertise creating Continuous Integration build and deployment automation, for example CI/CD Pipelines
• Expertise building and supporting production cloud-native applications in a major public cloud
• Expertise implementing observability, application monitoring, and log aggregation solutions
• Expertise working with cross functional teams to provide DevOps inspired solutions
