Senior Scientist, PKPD - Remote

Overview

We seek an experienced drug developer and scientist to join the Development Sciences team at Avidity Biosciences in La Jolla, CA. This position will expand the PKPD and quantitative pharmacology efforts across all phases of development, from research through approval.

In Short

• Interpret preclinical pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data to inform study designs.
• Utilize PKPD modeling and simulation approaches to answer complex biological questions.
• Conduct non-compartmental PK, exposure-response analyses, and other modeling activities.
• Accountable for timely execution and reporting of analyses and reports.
• Author clinical and quantitative pharmacology content for regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with various teams in planning and execution of studies.
• Manage modeling and clinical pharmacology CROs.
• Ensure compliance with GxP and SOP training.
• Assist junior scientists in preclinical studies.

Requirements

• PhD in pharmaceutics, biochemistry, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with in vivo preclinical pharmacokinetic and PKPD studies.
• Experience with large molecule and/or oligonucleotide therapeutic modalities.
• Experience with characterization of ADME properties.
• Industrial project team experience.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
