Overview

The Asset Recovery Officer I is responsible for the collection and maintenance of delinquent accounts, ensuring proper communication and resolution with members.

In Short

• Contact delinquent members to determine reasons for delinquency.
• Manage collection queues for accounts 5-59 days past due.
• Maintain history files of collection activities.
• Research and resolve credit-reporting disputes.
• Cross-sell Credit Union services when appropriate.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of FDCPA regulations preferred.
• Regular and prompt attendance required.
• 1-3 years experience in financial institutions or collections preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
