Tax Specialist / Accountant - Remote

To expand our finance team, we are looking for dedicated support as a Tax Specialist / Accountant.

In Short

• Independent execution of ongoing financial accounting (debtors, creditors, banks)
• Careful coding and booking of all business transactions in DATEV
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Creation of VAT advance notifications, including OSS; as well as other tax notifications
• Account reconciliation and clarification of accounting issues
• Close collaboration with tax advisors, auditors, and external service providers
• Support in reporting and business evaluations
• Active participation in the further development and digitization of our accounting processes

Requirements

• Completed training as a tax specialist, accountant, or financial accountant
• Good understanding of digital processes, data transfer, and tools, especially in the interaction of Shopify and DATEV
• Several years of professional experience in accounting and a solid understanding of numbers
• Solid experience in financial accounting of physical products, especially in dealing with inventory and stock valuation
• Very high digital affinity and enjoyment in making processes efficient and modern
• Very good English skills in spoken and written form
• Structured, independent, and reliable working style with team spirit
