Lead Mechanical Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the mechanical engineering and preparation of drawings and technical documentation required for the execution of Industrial projects from concept design to detailed design.

In Short

• Review and analyze regulatory requirements and safety design standards.
• Prepare Basis of Design and General Mechanical Drawings.
• Manage Static & Rotating Equipment Arrangement and Calculations.
• Develop HVAC duct & piping, Plumbing & Utilities drawings.
• Coordinate and manage equipment vendors and technical clarifications.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards.
• Supervise site construction work and liaise with contractors.
• Engage in Bill of Materials take-off.
• Work in a multicultural team and hybrid environment.
• Contribute to the overall engineering process and project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in Industrial projects.
• Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate in Malaysia.
• Experience in EPCM work environment.
• Knowledge of 3D Design Software is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of HVAC load calculation and energy modeling.
• Thorough understanding of Malaysia Code and local regulations.
• Experience in Management of Change (MOC) projects is a plus.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
