Sustainability Expert - Remote

Overview

The Sustainability Expert is a subject matter expert responsible for supporting Assent’s objective of being a market-leading software and services solution for sustainability. This role requires expertise in regulatory compliance and sustainability to lead the development of best practices and identify business opportunities.

In Short

• Act as a trusted subject matter expert in sustainability and responsible sourcing.
• Monitor and research global regulatory and sustainability developments.
• Collaborate with Product Management to identify new product opportunities.
• Support the evolution of Assent’s software solutions.
• Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on compliance efforts.
• Engage with trade associations and contribute to standards development.
• Demonstrate thought leadership through marketing collaborations.
• Support training and educational initiatives on ESG topics.
• Follow corporate security policies and procedures.
• Be flexible with hours and travel for team events.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in ESG, responsible sourcing, or corporate sustainability.
• Relevant degree in Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Understanding of manufacturing practices and responsible sourcing.
• Familiarity with sustainability software solutions.
• Knowledge of ESG Reporting Standards.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent public speaking and communication skills in English.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
• Self-starter with project management abilities.
