Group Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

The Group Financial Controller will play a pivotal leadership role overseeing financial strategy, reporting, controls, and operations across multiple jurisdictions. This role requires an internationally experienced and detail-oriented finance professional with deep understanding of IFRS, internal controls, and team leadership in a multi-entity environment.

In Short

• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS or equivalent
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing cycles
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements
• Maintain and improve financial reporting procedures and controls
• Manage group entities across Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan
• Supervise day-to-day accounting functions: accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll
• Lead the annual budget planning process with department heads
• Ensure full compliance with income tax, VAT, and jurisdiction-specific tax obligations
• Develop and uphold a strong internal control environment
• Manage and mentor a regional accounting team based in Malaysia

Requirements

• Deep understanding of IFRS and internal controls
• Experience in multi-entity accounting
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Ability to conduct variance analysis and prepare rolling forecasts
• Experience with tax compliance and planning strategies
• Proven track record in financial reporting and audit processes
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
