Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Specialist - Remote

Overview

The UAS Specialist will provide short-term and specialist advisory support to the project by conducting a short scoping mission in Amman, Jordan, to understand existing (unarmed) UAS capabilities within a particular GoJ department and develop recommendations for improving those capabilities.

In Short

• Conduct a 1-week long scoping mission to Amman, Jordan.
• Understand the current use of UAS by a GoJ department.
• Develop recommendations for UAS capability improvements.
• Engage with GoJ officials through meetings and workshops.
• Deliver a key findings presentation at the end of the mission.
• Conduct analysis and light-touch market research.
• Draft a short report including findings and recommendations.
• Ensure the report includes an Executive Summary for translation.
• Flexible approach to adapt to institutional and operational realities.
• Work in partnership with ARK team members.

Requirements

• Experience with UAS technologies and applications.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
• Experience in conducting market research.
• Understanding of operational requirements in governmental contexts.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
• Ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience in international development is a plus.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel for short missions.
