Actuarial Analyst - Remote

Overview

The actuarial analyst is responsible for the collection, organization, interpretation, analysis, scrubbing, documentation, and dissemination of complex data sets, providing support to the actuarial pricing team in various sectors.

• Responsible for modeling complex problems and analyzing trends.
• Support the actuarial pricing team in various sectors.
• Work on large account pricing in partnership with underwriters.
• Build new middle market casualty business.
• Lead research efforts to advance pricing sophistication.
• Perform parameter studies and price monitoring.
• Conduct collateral analysis for captive accounts.
• Handle ad-hoc requests and pricing analysis.
• Work independently and meet deadlines.
• Hours will be 9am-6pm EST with an option to switch shifts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of casualty actuarial work experience.
• 2 to 4 casualty actuarial exams.
• Curiosity and motivation to self-teach.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, and VBA.
• Strong analytical and database skills.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Team player with leadership attributes.
