Bridge CADD Technician - Remote

Overview

Arcadis is currently seeking a self-motivated Bridge CADD Technician to join our National Bridge Group in the Atlanta, GA office. This position involves assisting the engineering staff in the development of plans and quantities for DOT and local municipalities, working on projects of varying degrees of difficulty across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic region.

In Short

• Develop bridge and roadway plans utilizing Microstation and Geopak according to DOT guidelines.
• Perform structural and bridge design tasks including plan preparation, drafting, and quantity calculations.
• Work on a variety of urban and rural projects from preliminary design through final structures plans.
• Verify drawings for accuracy and prepare working and final drawings.
• Produce clear and concise construction drawings using applicable standards.
• Assist in the review of project submittals for compliance with design checklist and drafting standards.
• Develop and implement local and regional CAD standards and Microstation Setup.

Requirements

• Minimum 10-years’ experience working with DOT.
• Proficient with CAD, particularly Microstation, AutoCAD, GeoPak, and OpenRoads.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
• Familiarity with DOT bridge and roadway design standards and policies.
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
