Overview

This position supports the State of Iowa’s Department of Management (DOM), Security Operations Center (SOC). The purpose of this position is to provide tier two triage for information technology issues and information security incidents.

In Short

  • Serve as the primary incident owner for the Security Operations Center.
  • Lead efforts related to incident handling processes.
  • Communicate intelligence to key personnel.
  • 5 years’ experience required in information security certifications.
  • Strong understanding of security technologies and strategies.
  • Solid knowledge of common and emerging attack vectors.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse working environment.

Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience in information security.
  • Certifications such as SSCP, CompTIA Security+, CSA+.
  • Knowledge of security processes and best practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple task interruptions.
  • High integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
