SCADA Applications Engineer - Remote

Overview

Work on behalf of one of the worlds largest renewable energy developer and builders as SCADA engineer developing and commissioning software and SCADA to control renewable power plants.

In Short

• Develop and commission SCADA systems for renewable power plants.
• Integrate renewable power plants into SCADA systems for utility grid control.
• Collaborate with in-house resources and suppliers to meet project milestones.
• Design, integrate, program, commission, and test power plant controllers.
• Review SCADA engineering designs.
• Report progress to management regularly.
• Handle multiple consultants, vendors, and EPCs.
• Manage third-party firms.
• Travel required (50% of the time).
• Non-managerial position.

Requirements

• Experience with commissioning and integration of SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of control system architecture and PLC programming.
• Familiarity with Ignition, OPC protocol, and SCADA historian.
• Understanding of automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CAN, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and communication plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of utility meters and networking.
• Project management experience.
• Understanding of SCADA and communication schematics.
• Knowledge of renewable SCADA and control systems.
