Overview

Anchorage Digital is building an Accounting Center of Excellence in Portugal, providing a unique opportunity to be part of a high-growth leader in the digital asset space. The Member of Accounting will play a critical role in daily and month-end close activities while maintaining the accuracy of financial statements through in-depth accounting analysis.

In Short

• Perform daily, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in accordance with US GAAP.
• Analyse and process GL / AP / AR transactions.
• Support coordination of internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
• Communicate effectively complex issues with clarity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to shared consciousness at the company.
• Proactively communicate the impact of projects.
• Engage with different groups to comprehend historical transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in financial management or accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel/G-Sheets skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid English language skills.
• Prior experience on a Big 4 firm (bonus).
• CPA certification (bonus).
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance (bonus).
• Experience in multinational companies or fintech (bonus).
