Amica Center for Immigrant Rights, formerly known as the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition, is a non-profit organization based in the Washington, D.C. area dedicated to providing legal assistance to adult and child immigrants detained by the government. Founded in 1999, Amica Center has expanded its services and geographic reach, embodying the Latin meaning of 'Amica' as 'friend' by standing with clients to help them achieve safety, stability, and opportunity. The organization is committed to trauma-sensitive, client-centered services and is the only entity in the region focused exclusively on the legal needs of detained immigrants, offering support and representation in navigating the immigration system.
The People and Operations Director will lead Amica Center's HR and operational strategies to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
