Controller / Finance Leader - Remote

Overview

The Controller at AlterCall will take full ownership of internal finance and planning functions while also serving as a fractional finance advisor to clients, optimizing financial processes and supporting executive leadership.

In Short

• Own and optimize all internal financial operations including payroll and reporting.
• Support the CEO with financial planning and analysis.
• Build and maintain business models in Excel and fintech systems.
• Develop investor-ready models and support capital raising strategies.
• Consult with clients on financial and operational challenges.
• Create systems and dashboards to measure financial health.
• Lead and grow a finance team.

Requirements

• Experience in management consulting or high-growth advisory.
• Strong skills in building complex financial models.
• Ability to take extreme ownership of responsibilities.
• Understanding of early-stage company finance, particularly in AI and fintech.
• Experience with fundraising strategies and investor relations.
• Client-facing experience and ability to build trust quickly.
• Fluency in Excel, QuickBooks/Xero, and financial planning tools.
