Overview

Altarum’s Community Health Practice Area is seeking a Technical Assistance (TA) Specialist with behavioral health (BH) expertise to support multiple projects focused on substance use and mental health treatment and recovery, opioid treatment, and peer recovery support services.

In Short

  • Support the provision of TA to grantees across the country, both virtually and on-site as needed.
  • Provide input to inform decisions regarding TA requests and processes.
  • Assess, plan, and provide training related to Opioid Treatment Program systems and recovery support services.
  • Design and deliver training on behavioral health recovery supports.
  • Provide consultative expertise and recommendations to clients and grantees.
  • Support the development of TA packages, reports, and online learning courses.
  • Collaborate with expert consultants for training and TA.
  • Work collaboratively with other Altarum staff and external TA providers.
  • Ensure successful execution of tasks with high quality.
  • Contribute to federal, state, and philanthropic proposal efforts.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with at least 4-5 years of relevant work experience or Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience providing TA on Federal or state contracts.
  • Consulting experience in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of peer recovery support services.
  • Knowledge of Sequential Intercept Model.
  • Experience in developing TA protocols and materials.
  • Experience in knowledge transfer through meetings and training.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge in SUD systems and organizational collaboration.
  • Ability to travel and provide TA on-site up to 30% of the time.
