Staff Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

Alpaca is seeking an experienced Staff Security Engineer who can help expand our Security efforts and play a critical role in safeguarding Alpaca’s systems, data, and client assets from evolving cyber threats.

In Short

• Lead and triage security events including potential security incidents.
• Conduct thorough analyses of events and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain security incident response playbooks.
• Conduct Threat Hunting activities for proactive threat detection.
• Manage and optimize security tools and technologies.
• Enhance the security of our CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams.
• Lead vulnerability management and penetration testing activities.
• Assist with compliance audits and assessments.
• Conduct security research and contribute to new tools.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in security operations and engineering.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR and automation solutions.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes security concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Available for on-call rotations as needed.
