Senior Trading Associate - Remote

Overview

As a senior trading associate, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Equity and Options Trading Operations team, building scalable infrastructure and procedures, and nurturing a strong work ethic in line with Alpaca’s core values.

In Short

• Create and improve upon a world class execution platform
• Assist in the Firm’s Best-Execution Program by reviewing post-trade exception reports.
• Review Trade Surveillance reports and take appropriate action to resolve alerts
• Monitor order flow for irregularities
• Timely resolution of client trade escalations
• Create/update policies and procedures as needed
• Reconciliation of firm error and inventory accounts
• Risk monitoring/trading of firm held positions
• Maintain firm GTC order book
• Create and drive new initiatives

Requirements

• FINRA Licences: Series 7, Series 57, Series 24, Series 63, Series 4 (able to get in 6 months)
• Experience with both front and back end processes for trading lifecycle (Equity and Options)
• Experience in SQL (willingness to learn)
• Experience creating and maintaining relationships with executing counterparties
• Experience with order quality evaluations including execution and market manipulation testing
• A leader that has a track record of successful team building and creating growth opportunities for their team members
