Outbound Operations Supervisor - Supply Chain - Remote

Overview

The Outbound Supervisor reports to the Outbound Operations Manager to ensure outbound teams properly pull, sort, pack, and load freight in a safe, high quality and timely manner.

• Manages outbound operations and instructs employees on work performance.
• Trains and develops employees for efficiency.
• Processes and ships various orders including stock and special orders.
• Reconciles truck loads and manages shipping documentation.
• Ensures compliance with safety and security procedures.
• Opens and closes distribution center facilities securely.
• Requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be capable of lifting/moving heavy items.
• Preferred experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in relevant tools and technology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification required.
• Experience in automotive or retail distribution preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
