Overview

The Administrative Assistant/Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for managing the credentialing process for a private physician practice, ensuring all provider information is accurate and up-to-date.

In Short

  • Process medical staff applications and re-applications for insurance payors and facilities.
  • Maintain physician licensing including medical licenses and DEA registrations.
  • Handle new provider credentialing and re-credentialing.
  • Provide credentialing updates to the billing team.
  • Coordinate information flow between departments.
  • Investigate and resolve credentialing issues from rejected claims.
  • Work approximately 30 hours per week.
  • Position is hybrid, allowing for remote work.
  • Requires 3 years of experience in a medical staff support role.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent is required.

  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in a medical staff support role.
  • Knowledge of credentialing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate between departments.
  • Strong communication skills.
