Overview

AirGarage is looking for a Tech Lead to join our team and bring strong technical foundations to our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate is passionate about building a robust codebase with a long-term, technical vision, and also eager to help empower, coach, and enable our engineering team.

• Plan, execute, and lead high stakes engineering projects.
• Make key architecture decisions around best practices, design patterns, infrastructure, and tools.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Nurture a team of passionate engineers and collaborate with them.
• Bring best technical practices and raise the bar for code quality.
• Collaborate with various teams to understand users and build the best product.
• Lead engineering meetings including sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Promote a culture of resiliency, learning, ownership, and impact.
• Implement lightweight processes to help the team scale.

Requirements

• Currently a Tech Lead with deep engineering knowledge and people skills.
• Senior+ level engineering knowledge including software architecture patterns and clean code principles.
• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Familiarity with management best practices like 1:1s and feedback cycles.
• Experience with Python, Django, and React or similar frameworks.
• An ownership mindset, eager to understand and own complex systems.
