AECOM is seeking a career opportunity position for a Sr. Wetlands/Soils and Natural Resource Scientist to join our large and dynamic Environmental Planning & Permitting Practice in New England.

In Short

• Conduct field wetlands and biological field surveys.
• Perform wetland delineation and soils taxonomy.
• Conduct biological inventory (botanical or wildlife).
• Engage in scientific report writing and regulatory interpretation.
• Support field investigations and permit application for power sector projects.
• Work on projects related to electric transmission, renewables, and solar energy.
• Be part of a multidisciplinary team of scientists.
• Serve as a Biological Monitor and Environmental Inspector during construction.
• Position is remote/hybrid with focus on CT, MA, and RI.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required.

Requirements

• BS in Biology, Soils Science, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 4+ years’ experience or equivalent education.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Preferred: Registration as a Professional Soil Scientist or Wetland Scientist.
• Familiarity with CT and MA environmental regulatory programs preferred.
• 7+ years of experience preferred.
