Overview

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Senior Geotechnical Civil Engineer to join our Environmental Business Line in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role involves working on diverse projects and providing exceptional training and career development opportunities.

In Short

• Perform geotechnical investigations including slope stability and settlement analyses.
• Develop geotechnical recommendations for large civil projects.
• Utilize industry-standard software such as Slope/W, SLIDE, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Train and lead junior engineers and scientists.
• Investigate dams and impoundments.
• Conduct site reviews specific to Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR).
• Act as a point of expertise in projects with NCDOT.
• Work on solid waste disposal facilities and other geotechnical projects.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of technical experts.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field + 8 years of experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina or ability to obtain.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• Must pass drug and medical screenings.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 9+ years of experience in environmental investigations.
• Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Strong experience in training and leading teams.
