Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior-level Environmental Compliance Manager to support a large southern California gas utility company projects throughout the Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Ventura regions in California. This position can be report to any of AECOM’s southern California offices including San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange, or San Luis Obispo.

In Short

  • Act as an Environmental Compliance Manager on multiple projects.
  • Review and interpret project plans and permits.
  • Staff surveyors, monitors, and technical experts.
  • Coordinate compliance with clients, contractors, and resource agencies.
  • Prepare and review technical memorandums and environmental documents.
  • Work on projects involving biological, cultural, and paleontological resource protection.
  • Involve in environmental permitting and mitigation.
  • Implement Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
  • Client-facing role requiring excellent communication skills.
  • Manage staffing and budgets as a task lead or Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, or related field.
  • 6 years of relevant experience as an Environmental Compliance Manager.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's license is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • 8+ years of experience in environmental compliance preferred.
  • Familiarity with permit application requirements.
  • Knowledge of CEQA and NEPA.
  • Experience preparing reports and deliverables.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented work style.
  • Prior environmental consulting experience is desired.
