Professional Quantity Surveyor - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to be based in South Africa's Enterprise Capabilities office in Cape Town. This position will support a team locally based in South Africa and Global Teams. As a part of AECOM's culture, it offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement which accommodates both office and out-of-office work schedules.

In Short

• Facilitate the programme development cycle (engineering, procurement, and construction).
• Provide quantity surveying duties pre- and/or post-contract.
• Undertake responsibilities independently and under general supervision.
• Prepare tender documentation and viability studies.
• Implement and monitor cost control procedures throughout the project.
• Evaluate variations and incorporate them into monthly cost reports.
• Prepare, price, and negotiate change orders.
• Mentor Candidate Quantity Surveyors.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements.
• Ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in a QS function.
• Must be registered as PrQS.
• Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• Experience in CostX is advantageous.
