Overview

AECOM is seeking a mid-career Mechanical Engineer to support our growing Energy Business Line, offering flexibility to work remotely or from various locations across the United States.

In Short

• Support mechanical engineering services across various market sectors.
• Develop mechanical equipment and piping material specifications.
• Produce calculations for design, including hydraulic modeling and pipe stress calculations.
• Coordinate with the mechanical design team for engineering drawings.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Work under limited supervision on complex design assignments.
• Maintain communication with project teams regarding workload and budgeting.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Interact with vendors and regulatory agencies.
• Ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• 4 years of relevant experience in industrial facility mechanical engineering.
• 6+ years of experience preferred.
• PE License or EIT preferred.
• Experience with specifying mechanical equipment.
• Familiarity with diverse metallurgy.
• Experience with engineering software packages.
• Experience with HVAC systems.
• Strong knowledge of piping specifications and analysis.
• Experience in multi-discipline programs/projects.
