Overview

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineering Department Manager to lead a talented team in the US Energy Practice, offering the flexibility to work remotely or from various locations across the United States.

In Short

  • Manage and supervise a team of electrical engineers.
  • Lead improvements in project efficiencies and technical standards.
  • Responsible for electrical engineering design work on assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline technical leads.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development.
  • Participate in business development activities.
  • Ensure quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery of projects.
  • Provide input on project resourcing and staff forecasting.
  • Act as the Engineer of Record on projects.
  • Support projects through their entire life cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in industrial and/or power facilities.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • 5+ years of experience in team supervision preferred.
  • Experience in complex, multi-discipline projects.
  • Expert knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Field construction and commissioning experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with power systems analysis software.
  • Experience in renewable energy projects is a plus.
