Overview

The Hospital Coding Quality Specialist is responsible for reviewing coded health information records to evaluate the quality and accuracy of staff coding and abstracting for inpatient services. This role ensures compliance with coding guidelines and collaborates with leadership to enhance coding practices.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in hospital coding.
• Knowledge of NCCI edits and coding guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications.
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.
• Experience with remote workforce operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong ethical standards.
