Overview

ACZ Laboratories is looking for a highly motivated system administrator to join our small IT team. This team member is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, maintenance and documentation of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual ensures that systems hardware, operating systems, software and other infrastructure components and procedures meet security and organizational needs.

In Short

Install/update/configure servers, domain, operating systems and applications.
Monitor and maintain infrastructure for uptime and efficiency.
Mitigate vulnerabilities by monitoring systems daily.
Install/update/configure workstations and support users.
Collaborate with laboratory staff to resolve issues.
Maintain documentation of hardware and software.
Research and implement advancements in technologies.
Monitor backup systems to ensure data preservation.
Provide on-call support outside of business hours.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or at least 2 years of related experience.
Experience with Windows, Linux, Cisco, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, O365, Oracle databases, Veeam, Hyper-V, LAN/WAN.
Detail-oriented with project management skills.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language is a plus.
