Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field based scientific expert that strategically supports the research and business objectives of a designated therapeutic area across the product life cycle. MSLs are the primary communicators of AbbVie science within a specific geography with healthcare professionals.

• Supports research initiatives across development including site evaluation and recruitment.
• Identifies and develops professional relationships with external experts in therapeutic areas.
• Communicates field insights to internal business partners.
• Educates self on market issues and product knowledge.
• Works with in-field teams to develop and execute a territory plan.
• Prepares for new therapeutic areas by creating awareness and relationships.
• Serves as a scientific resource for commercial partners.
• Responsible for compliance with corporate policies.
• Meets assigned project deadlines and achieves annual goals.
• Willing to travel up to 75% of the time.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, etc.).
• 2+ years of clinical or industry experience required.
• Lung Solid Tumor experience preferred.
• Previous pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Advanced problem solving and analytical skills required.
• Must meet healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.
