In Short

• Search public records and examine titles for legal conditions of commercial properties.
• Copy or summarize recorded documents affecting property titles.
• Work independently to determine the status and establish the chain of title.
• Manage projects ranging from simple parcels to complex commercial properties.
• Abstract and analyze records including leases, liens, and easements.
• Resolve issues related to missing or contradictory title information.
• Prepare title commitment documentation based on procedural guidelines.
• Review reports for accuracy and provide underwriting interpretation.
• Must have California state examination experience.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of directly related experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Research skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service orientation.
• Proficient in standard MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of legal terms is helpful.
