Overview

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Fresenius Medical Care, you play a vital part in supporting people who entrust us with their care, their families, and your fellow care team members.

In Short

• Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients.
• Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines.
• Obtain and document pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight.
• Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation.
• Monitor patients’ response to dialysis therapy.
• Report significant information to the supervisor.
• Collect and prepare lab samples.
• Assist in patient education.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and surroundings.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Dependable, compassionate, and collaborative qualities.
• Previous patient care experience preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of dialysis training program required.
• CPR certification required.
