Patient Care Technician - PCT - Remote

Overview

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Fresenius Medical Care, you will support patients with kidney disease, building strong relationships and providing essential care under the supervision of licensed nurses.

In Short

• Provide safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients.
• Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines.
• Document pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weight.
• Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation.
• Monitor patients’ responses to dialysis therapy.
• Report significant changes in patient conditions to supervisors.
• Assist in patient education and preparation for treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness of dialysis equipment and environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Dependable, compassionate, and caring demeanor.
• Previous patient care experience preferred but not required.
• Must complete Fresenius Medical Care dialysis training program.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
• Willingness to work in a healthcare facility environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job.
