Frontend/Web Developer with Design Experience - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a UI/Web Designer and Developer to create user-centered interfaces for military simulation and AI systems, focusing on functional and structured designs that assist military users in quickly grasping complex simulation results.

• Design and implement UI/Web interfaces for military simulation systems.
• Collaborate closely with experts in simulation, AI, and operations for optimal UX.
• Develop web portals, dashboards, and interaction concepts around the Defense Metaverse.
• Ensure robustness, usability, and intuitive user guidance under operational conditions.
• Conduct tests to ensure the quality and performance of UIs in operational scenarios.
• Integrate user interfaces with middleware and backend systems.
• Develop design guidelines and standards for military user groups.
• Continuously develop and maintain existing user interfaces.

Requirements

• Completed degree in UI/UX Design, Media Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, or comparable qualification.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and developing user interfaces for complex software products.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common frameworks.
• Experience with design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Proficient in Git.
• Knowledge of agile development processes and project management methods is a plus.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English.
• High motivation to work remotely, reliably, and independently, proactively solving problems.
• Personal suitability for a security clearance (Ü2).
