Overview

The Senior Epic Operational Database Administrator (ODBA) is a critical, hands-on role responsible for managing the EPIC operational database environments, ensuring high availability and performance of the Epic system.

In Short

Ownership of the EPIC operational database environments.
Perform environment setup and configuration.
Proactive monitoring and maintenance of database systems.
Install and maintain tools for monitoring and performance.
Analyze performance metrics and resolve issues.
Monitor and maintain RedHat Caché host servers.
Manage users and passwords for Caché and UNIX systems.
Install updates and upgrades to environments.
Configure and maintain environment copies.
Requires Washington State residency.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Epic ODBA Certification required.
Minimum of five years’ experience as an Epic ODBA.
Strong Linux skills using command-line prompt.
Understanding of operating system concepts.
Knowledge of command shell languages.
Able to follow processes for maintenance procedures.
