Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

As a Legal Counsel at Zepto, you will play a significant role in supporting the company's commercial, corporate, and regulatory legal obligations while working in a remote-first team.

In Short

• Provide legal advice on commercial contracts and negotiations.
• Support partnership deals and tender responses.
• Draft and review financial service disclosure documents.
• Advise on marketing and corporate materials.
• Assist with capital raising opportunities and corporate projects.
• Handle disputes and litigated matters.
• Advise on employment agreements and employee disputes.
• Design training on legal issues for internal stakeholders.
• Maintain legal policies and procedures.
• Conduct research on complex legislation.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Law and a current practising certificate in Australia.
• 4+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Experience in private practice at a top or mid-tier law firm.
• In-house experience in financial services or IT/SaaS preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, competitive environment.
• Proactive in keeping abreast of legislative changes.
• Interest in the Australian payments landscape.
