Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will assist the Resident Engineer in design review and construction related to the structural aspects of bridge construction, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

• Assist in supervising the construction of bridges and viaducts.
• Oversee structural aspects of bridge construction activities.
• Coordinate activities with other engineers and construction teams.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals, and method statements.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to construction teams.
• Maintain daily diaries and reports prepared by inspectors.
• Direct and monitor the performance of inspectors and surveyors.
• Ensure adherence to safety goals and procedures.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Analyze engineering drawings and specifications for compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in bridge construction.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.
• Knowledge of materials used in bridge construction.
• Ability to review material submissions and analyze reports.
• Fully computer literate with engineering software proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Working knowledge of construction sequences and procedures.
• Experience with large metro rail projects is preferable.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations.
